Anna Beatriz Pereira Alves, an adult model known online as Anna Polly, tragically fell to her death from a hotel balcony in Brazil. She was 23 years old and had been filming with two men for content on an adult site. The incident took place at the Mont Blanc Apart Hotel in Nova Iguacu, a town about 25 miles from Rio de Janeiro. Alves was found lifeless in the courtyard below the hotel.
Her boyfriend, Pedro Henrique, spoke to Brazilian magazine Quem, confirming the details. “All the information about the case is already in the hands of the police, and they are investigating,” he said. He added that if someone is responsible, they will face consequences. Alves died from the fall, and there was no chance to save her.
The news broke on January 23, but it wasn’t widely reported until days later. A friend of Alves shared how shocked everyone was. She had big plans for her future, hoping to grow her social media presence and take on new projects. Her sudden death left her friends and family in disbelief.
A spokesman for the Baixada Fluminense Homicide Unit, which is handling the case, confirmed that the investigation is ongoing. “We are working to understand what happened,” the spokesman said. They are considering all possibilities, from an accident to something more serious.
Graphic footage of the scene has been shared online, showing a body covered with a blood-stained sheet, believed to be Alves. This has added more attention to the tragedy, but authorities continue their investigation. Alves’ death remains unclear, with the police trying to piece together the details.
Pedro Henrique has paid tribute to his late girlfriend on social media, saying, “It’s so difficult without you. The pain in my heart is growing with every hour.” Despite the tragedy, her supporters remember her enthusiasm and the many things she hoped to accomplish in the future.
Nellie Jurgy and her husband Bryce are two lovebirds that enjoy a bit of internet celebrity status, as the pair is known for their family-focused YouTube channel “The Jurgys” with over 233.000 subscribers.
If there’s one thing that Nellie always wanted, it was to completely redecorate the master bedroom. However, due to a lot of work and other things going on in life, it never really happened.
Luckily, Bryce had the perfect opportunity to surprise his wife with the bedroom makeover of her dreams!
When he realized that Nellie would be away from home for a couple of days to lead a church youth camp, he decided to work hard and give her a big surprise when she’d return back home.
Bryce transformed the master bedroom and didn’t leave a spot untouched. You can see Nellie’s reaction in the video at the bottom of this article, and we’re pretty sure that she absolutely loved it.
When Nellie left for her church trip, she had no idea that she would be seeing a completely new bedroom when she returned. It was the surprise of a lifetime!
For the past years, they’ve been remodeling their house – but they never seemed to make it to the master bedroom, until now.
In the video that was taken by Bryce and his friend, we get a quick overview of how the bedroom looked before he started remodeling the whole thing.
Even though it’s definitely nice and comfortable, the bedroom is also quite bland. It’s understandable why Nellie desperately wanted a bedroom makeover.
The first thing Bryce did was replace their bed with a brand new, king-size Helix one. After putting it together, he could finally focus on choosing some new decorations.
It might be considered a risky move to go ahead and choose a new bed without your significant other, but Bryce guessed that Nellie would approve – despite the advice he was given by his best friend.
After a trip to the store, he brought home a beautiful and large mirror and he also brought back some lovely green friends – both real and fake. Sunflowers are Nellie’s favorite plants, so he made sure to bring one of those.
The best piece of decoration, however, didn’t come from the store. Bryce hand-crafted a beautiful wooden sculpture of mountains that fit in perfectly.
He even recycled a bunch of older crates for his piece of art and made sure to install an LED light at the back. It just gives the whole thing and the entire room a beautiful extra touch.
Bryce didn’t have a lot of time until his wife returned home, so he worked day and night. Quite literally, because at one point in the video, it’s 3:30 AM.
As the finishing touch, he figured out where to put all of the decorations he bought. We must say that it is quite a transformation indeed and everything looks great together!
When he finally satisfied and everything was perfectly put in place, he figured it was time to reveal his big surprise.
When Nellie returned back home, Bryce interrupted her and made her put on a blindfold right away.
When the moment finally comes and Nellie enters the room, she takes off her blindfold and can’t help but smile. She was completely surprised and even asked her husband “Who are you?” because she didn’t expect this at all. The incredibly happy look on her face truly says more than a thousand words.
She adored absolutely everything! The decorations, the sunflowers, the shelves in the corners, and of course, the hand-crafted mountain masterpiece as well.
However, there was one thing she hadn’t realized yet: the brand new bed.
When she jumps on it, it seems like she really recognizes just how much effort her husband put into this makeover in a short amount of time. He really went the extra mile and Bryce definitely deserved a big kiss for all of his hard work.

Unless you live in new construction or a perfect home, you have encountered cracks in your wall and ceiling. For the most part, these cracks are harmless and are just the result of your house settling over time. Even though they are harmless, they don’t look great! They can mar a perfectly good wall with an ugly scar.
Using these steps, you can easily take care of the cracks caused by your house settling in only a few minutes!
If you are ready to get a smooth finished wall without annoying cracks, it’s super easy! Just follow along and do the steps with Ken. The great part is that this DIY project only takes minutes and is super easy.
1. Prepare the area
Most cracks occur around thresholds and doors. Since we will be painting, it’s better to be safe than sorry! Just grab some painters tape and make sure you cover the exposed areas around the door that you don’t want to be painted.
2. Open up the working surface
This might be the most fun part! In order to have better access to the crack, we are going to open it up a bit. The best way to do this is to grab an old screwdriver and just pull the tip through the drywall, scoring and widening the crack. After you widen it, just use a damp cloth to clean it.
3. Apply fiberglass tape
We want to make sure the issue doesn’t come back! Using self-adhesive fiberglass tape, simply put a strip that covers the area well. This is going to make sure it stays reinforced and doesn’t become a repeat problem.
4. Apply drywall joint compound
This sounds fancy, but it really isn’t. Just spread out some compound onto the area to fill in the spaces. Using some pressure and a paint knife, press the compound into the area. After it has time to dry, scrape off any bumps with a pass or two of the knife. When the first coat is smooth, add a second coat in the same way. After the second coat is dry, add a third and final coat while ensuring no lumps or bumps.
5. Scrape and sand
We are almost done! Using the painting knife, make sure there are no rough spots in the compound with a pass or two. After that, take your sander of choice (a wood block with 100 grit sand or Ken’s preferred choice of a specialized drywall tool works). Go over the area and make sure it’s super smooth. Do your best to get into the crevice of the ceiling! Dust off the area, and lets prime!

Ada starts to lean in closer to the jelly beans, it is getting harder. She blows on the jelly beans as if they were her birthday cake and candles. Then the excitement has left her and her patience is starting to fade. She becomes quiet and just stares at the jelly beans. She wants them so bad but she also wants to keep listening to her mama’s direction.
Temptation is starting to get overwhelming. What does Ada do?
Ada does not start secretly eating her treats, she pushes them further away from her. Maybe if they are further away they will not be so tempting. Ada quickly changes her mind on that decision and brings the jelly beans back and even closer than before.

It has been over a minute since Ada’s mom left the room and she has not even touched them yet. This little girl has more patience than most adults!

As we all know, learning good social skills is key to navigating the adult world. Other kids are a notoriously hard audience and they notice things about us that we may not notice about ourselves. Although a lot of our insecurities or differences might be on the inside, some of the hardest situations come when we have something outwardly obvious that makes us different.
In particular, being pregnant is a hard thing to hide.
For 13-year-old Kennedy Griest, she found out firsthand after her friends took a picture of her at a pool party.
Griest is a normal high school student in Michigan who had a picture of herself in bathing suit put online. After it was posted, several of Griest’s friends noticed something unusual about the photograph. One of the comments was particularly pointed:
“Oh my God, look. Kennedy’s pregnant.”
Still, this was even news to Griest herself.
As the rumors started to spread around the school, Griest denied them and said that she and her boyfriend had been using protection. After reflecting, however, she realized that she had missed some telltale signs—she thought it was all just the normal ups and downs of puberty. To put herself at ease, she decided to take a pregnancy test.
As it turns out, the tests came back positive and Griest was indeed pregnant.
After confirming the news, Griest plenty of gossip and dirty looks.
Despite all the pressure, however, Griest decided to keep the baby and successfully gave birth to a healthy little girl, Adalyn, in October 2014. Although she knows the situation is a difficult one, Griest says that giving birth has ultimately changed her life for the better:
“I don’t know how to word it but I didn’t know who I was, so I guess being a mother is who I am. And that’s all I know and that’s all I want, is to be the best mother possible.”
Despite what others said about her, Griest was brave in standing up against the pressure and making her own decisions.
Though teenage pregnancy often comes with plenty of stigma attached, Griest’s courage to follow her heart remains an inspiration. “Although [Adalyn] is a little sassy,” Griest says, “she’s perfect, and I wouldn’t want to change anything about my life.”
The mother who received criticism following a viral photo has spoken out, clearing the air.
You may remember last year when a photo went viral of a mother at the airport. In the photo, her infant daughter was laying on a blanket on the floor while the mom checked the phone.
The image quickly went viral online with numerous people criticizing her actions without any information.
After all, at a glance, it looks like the mom is just playing on her phone or relaxing and put her baby on the ground so she could get some relaxing time.
Just a few days ago, however, Molly Lensing, the mother in the photo, talked to TODAY Parents about the photo, what really happened and how it has affected her. She told the news outlet that the child in the picture is her youngest daughter, named Anastasia, who at the time was 2 months old.
The photo was taken in an airport in Colorado during 2016 while the mother and daughter were struggling to get back home after a visit with family. Lensing explained that the two ended up spending over 20 hours just sitting in airports. While that is annoying for anyone, it can be especially frustrating and exhausting with a 2-month-old.
“We had the unfortunate luck of being stuck in the middle of the Delta computer shut-down.”
Between delays and multiple re-bookings, the hours passed on and on.
Lensing pointed out to TODAY that not only did Anastasia need to stretch, but Lensing had to keep people in the loop.
“Anastasia had been held or in her carrier for many hours. My arms were tired. She needed to stretch. And I had to communicate with all the family members wondering where the heck we were.”
When put in perspective, laying your daughter on top of a clean blanket on an airport floor so she can stretch while you let your family know where you are seems perfectly reasonable. After all, any parent knows that a baby doesn’t want to be held for a full day straight – they need to wiggle a bit and be free.
Lensing thought that the adventure itself was stressful enough, but a few months later, the photo went viral.
It began with Lensing seeing the photo of her and Anastasia online. Once someone figured out who she was, she started receiving Facebook messages. While some parents supported her, many said she was a bad parent.
Lensing is a part-time pediatric nurse. She explained that:
“I absolutely feel as though my privacy was violated. I had recently started working on a labor floor, and I was terrified of my co-workers or boss seeing the photos and comments and believing I should no longer work with infants. Thankfully, this never happened.”
The fact that someone with a less understanding workplace could have lost their job from a viral photo like this – that doesn’t include critical information – puts the entire thing into perspective.
That should encourage others to stop criticizing other parents, but it likely won’t.
Today, Lensing usually doesn’t think about the pictures. When they appear online again, however, she can’t help but remember them.
“I ignore the photos and the comments and lean on those close to me who know the real me. I am powerless compared to the internet, and I know that I am the best momma to my girls and I know that I cherish them and am raising them the best I can.”
Based on the limited public activity on Lensing’s Facebook page, it certainly does seem like she is an excellent mom with a happy family.

A beautiful day

Reeling in the line
With the pole set between his legs, he started to reel in the line. But without his knowledge, Paisley had crawled onto the deck and underneath where he was sitting. That’s when she poked her head out between her dad’s legs. So, the more he reeled, the more her hair became entangled.
This was major
The reel didn’t wrap around just a little of Paisley’s hair but almost all of it. So, she had this big thing stuck to the side of her head. Although he tried for several minutes to get her hair untangled, he couldn’t do it. That’s when he decided to call his wife.
She couldn’t stop laughing…
…the mom that is. In an interview with a local news station, she explained that it was hilarious. And being so funny and unique, she knew immediately she had to videotape it. That way, she could show it to Paisley when she gets older. Hopefully, she’ll find the incident as hysterical as her mom did.
The solution?
Well first, the mom had to disassemble the entire reel. Otherwise, there was no way to untangle the girl’s hair. Then, piece by piece, she pulled strands out of the different pieces of the reel. As you can imagine, this took quite some time to complete. But finally, the girl’s hair was freed.

Going to the local grocery store with only $10 in her pocket, The Quaint Housewife went to the vegetable aisle first. She immediately saw scallions for only 54 cents and grabbed one pack.
These veggies are not just good for your health and your taste buds, its price is very affordable, too! The Quaint Housewife is planning to cook some tortillas in the coming week and the scallions she found will be perfect for the dish she’s got in mind.
